Cost Efficient Lighting

Help is at hand at Woodward Electrical in understanding how to be cost effective and environmentally friendly with your lighting

Calculating cost of ownership provides a full picture of the cost of owning a lighting installation through-out its life; taking into account price of lamps, consumption and the labour associated with re lamping. Take the following example based on using LED lamps in place of Halogen lamps; recognising the up-front cost is higher for LED lamps, they significantly reduce energy and have a much longer life.

Key facts and figures for an installation of 45 x 35Watt halogen lamps replaced with 10Watt LED MR 16 lamps for the same light output

  • Installed electrical load reduced by 71% (1575W to 450W)
  • Projected lamp life – 6.5 years
  • Cost saving approx £225 a year
  • Payback period 14 months
  • Carbon emissions reduced by 1.6 tonnes

    Expanding into the North West

We are pleased to announce our expansion into the North West, after over 25 years success in the Midlands. With environmental policy becoming increasingly significant, companies are looking at more sustainable, energy efficient systems to comply with government legislation. Woodward Electrical Ltd are able to help clients to deal with the new regulations and are finding that more and more companies are focusing on energy efficiency and cost saving.

Alan Woodward who started the company in 1987 said:

"After moving into the London market two years ago we have experienced exceptional growth and the ability to offer support to businesses on a national scale."

"With the current focus on the environment and sustainability, Woodward’s clients are looking at replacing and updating their electrics with automated heating and lighting systems, not just adding energy efficient light bulbs."

Alan adds: "People want more energy efficient systems in their homes and businesses to provide a long term cost saving solution."
